The goal of this session is first straight acceleration work. I like to start the session with some leg speed work.  Once set one is done we will be focusing on longer effort first straight specific work

 

Start Method: Fast rolling downhill

Terrain: downhill

Distance (always  half cranks):  24 cranks

Reps: 1x5

Equipment: race gear

Pedals: race specific 

Goal: overspeed training 

 

Start Method: Box start

Terrain: flat road

Distance (always  half cranks): 18 cranks

Reps: 1x10 reps

Equipment: race gear

Pedals: race specific 

Goal:  first straight acceleration work
