Normal dynamic warm up (video is on main calendar pace for reference)
Set 1: Going to be doing submaximal downhill sprints. Goal is to hit your start point going fairly fast. Get up to about 85-95% of your max speed and hold it for the sprint. Focus on soft hand grip, keep your chest tall, and smooth circles with your pedals.
Start Method: Mid speed downhill
Terrain: Downhill
Distance: 26-30 cranks (half rotation)
Reps: 1x5
Equipment: race gear or if you have the ability 1 larger cog in rear
Pedals: race specific
Goal: top end acceleration form
Set 2: Gate and first straight specific to work with track 1
Start Method: Box start
Terrain: flat ground
Distance: 12 cranks (half rotation)
Reps: 1x6
Equipment: race set up
Pedals: race specific
Goal: focus on your start form, tight core, lead with head/shoulders, tall chest on sprint
