Track 1:
We are splitting the track up into two very specific track sessions this month. One will be 100% focused on gates, and the other 100% focused on track work. Today we will focus on the gates! We will still do our normal skill warm up but add some acceleration specific warm ups as well.
15 min skill warm up
1x2 dead man starts out of the turn before your rhythm section. Warm up that hard push!
1x2 find your straight with the jump and go full speed at the beginning of the turn, hit the jumps and warm up the speed range of your sprint
1x2 warm up gates. This is 100% focused on form. Don’t worry about racing anyone, just focus on the form aspect!
Now we will get into our working set. I want you to focus on 3x3 reps. Run through physically and mentally your Quarters, semis, and mains. See your main competitors next to you in the gate, practice getting in front of them, shutting them down and winning to turn 1! This session we will work on the race mentals as much as the physical side!
