Track 2:

This month we have track split into 3 sessions.  This month we also are going to be digging deep in full Grands Prep mode so its not set up to be easy.  It is set up to be ready for Tulsa!  

 

Track 2 is set up to work on race specific track work. 

Bonus points!  Bonus points if you find 1-2 friends to do the same program with you so you have a group to ride with!  Double bonus points if you go up 1 tooth on your cog so you’re at a dis advantage with your training partners and have to work extra hard with some leg speed work added in!

 

You will spend about 10-15min warming up.  During this warm up focus on skill work and acceleration warm up. If you do make your gear really easy make sure you finish your warm up with some fast rolling accelerations to make sure your legs are ready for the work! 

 

Todays main training will be half laps.  Working on not only fitness, but learning race patterns.  How you can pass, when you can pass, and how to lead races!  You will take 6-10min rest.  Towards the beginning it will be closer to 6min but as the session goes on if you need to extent rest closer to 10min that is fine.

 

Set 1:  1x3 front turn 2 through the finish line

Set 2: 1x2 from turn 1 through the exit of turn 3

Set 3: 1x1 full lap from the gate

 

As we did earlier in the week, this session is set up to be done before your local race night.  Now GO RACE!!
